Common questions
Repair or rebuild?
Can an old granite wall be repaired instead of replaced?
Often, yes. If much of the stonework is still sound, deteriorated mortar and localized failures can frequently be repaired without tearing out the entire wall. We assess the condition before recommending the scope.
What if the wall is leaning or bulging?
Movement can indicate failed backing, water pressure or loss of support. The affected area may need to be opened up and rebuilt rather than simply repointed.
Do you only work on old stone walls?
Old granite and natural-stone wall restoration is our specialty, but we also build new natural-stone retaining walls, steps and related masonry.
